Fantastic Father's Day Presents

One of the most special and important relationships in our lives is the one we have with our fathers. This is why it's poignant that my 'come back' post on The Relationship Supermarket.com is about Father's Day. As you know, I've been very ill recently and have also moved house after a very complicated few weeks. Posting on my blogs, and indeed visiting my friends' sites have had to take a far back seat to the other things happening around me. I think that I'm (thankfully) off to a somewhat slow restart. Here's to me, us and all to Fathers!

Father's Day is obviously not just about presents - but it helps to be able to put a smile on your Dad's face by giving him something he can use or enjoy. After all, this is one of the very few times in the year where dads are receiving, as opposed to giving (most Dads, anyway).

Amazon has put together a fantastic array of presents fit to suit any pocket. These Father's Day presents stem from kindles to garden tools

Why not have a look and see if you can find a movie or watch your dad would enjoy. As always, be good to your father and those around you, and learn how to manage the relationships that enrich your life. Always keep in mind that 'falling out' with someone close to you enables you to move on to having a better and more mature relationship with them in the future. Dads have weaknesses too. Finding the 'human' in your father can empower you to deal with his shortcomings and accept them, not as an extension of yourself, but as a small flaw in someone who has wrapped you in his love for all your life.

For those who have absent dads, make the best of the day with the man most precious to you!

Hope you're well, Icy. Yes, these days many people give presents to their brothers/husbands etc on Father's day. Have fun!

Thanks. I'll be over to your blog to pay you a visit. It's a long time since we've caught up.

How sad when I have to go through father's day, it's been 23 years without poppa. You're right, I help the kids celebrate their father for father's day instead.
