Amy Winehouse, Dead

Amy Winehouse in happier times
My daughter is always scrolling though news on the Internet on her iPod touch, and just informed me that British singer Amy Winehouse is dead. She was 27.

I love her music. Her soulful voice has always brought pleasure to my ears. I remember the first time I heard her sing, it was on an outside-broadcast series BBC Radio 2 was doing somewhere in the South of England. I think it was Cornwall, but I can't remember now.

The radio station's DJ, Chris Evans, was running a show where they stayed in someone's house for the evening, and did the entire programme from there. It was fascinating it itself because being a former radio Announcer/Producer, it was something I would've never considered doing.

Amy sang 'Rehab' with no musical backing whatsoever, and I fell in love with her voice.

The Relationship Supermarket.com would like to extend sincerest condolences to all of Amy's friends and family at this most terribly sad time.
