Anywhere you look on the internet for lawsuits, you can find a large amount of information pertaining to the antidepressant drug called, zoloft. Briefly, the FDA has announced that taking this anti-depressant during pregnancy (especially if it's taken during the third trimester) may raise a woman's chances of giving birth to a child with birth defects like pulmonary hypertension, and other heart problems.
Apart from risks to the newborn, the drug, zoloft has also been linked to serious side effects in some of the women taking them. These can include suicidal behaviours and other mental instabilities.
There are now several law firms dealing with the cases brought (or being brought) against Pfizer, the manufacturers. However, the responsibility is on the woman and her family to prove any defects were actually directly related to taking zoloft.
